A Walk through the Woods....
As soon as I got home last night Coby says "mommy - I want to go show you the big tree that fell down." I said "ok - let me go get my camera!" This is Coby leading the way for me - to show me our BIG tree that FELL down! Coby thought he was going to stop and eat some "berries" on the way! Uh, NO!

Wordful Wednesday
Dylan - my oldest! I can't imagine life without this kid! He is my pride and joy! Monday night we had court of honor for boy scouts. I wish I could've gotten more of his face in the picture - but i just love seeing him hold the American flag. He is ALL-American boy! His dream right now is to join the air force after high school! Nothing could make me more proud! But I want it to be something HE wants to do!

And the Winner Is.......
I KNOW I am behind on my fall give-a-way! (Shuttie Brandy!) I asked for the FUNNIEST fall story! And oh my.....This is what i got in return.......
What?! Funny story?! Oh man. I have an uncomfortable one or two or million.Okay, this one year we went to visit my husband's biological mom on Thanksgiving. It was only a year after we met her. So we go down there and we bring our traditional Thanksgiving duds. You know, comfy, stretchy pants, t-shirts...that what we wear in these here parts. We're lazy. We eat too much, we gotta be comfy.Anyway, all of a sudden I hear my MIL say that she's gotta go get ready for dinner. I'm thinking, "Huh, dinner's done, what's she talkin' about?"Well she's gone for about an hour, locked in her room and bathroom. In fact, the entire family is in their bedrooms. Then the guests start showing up.I was in the back of the house taking care of my babies...one was 4 and one was almost 2. We're playing, being silly. I did NOT notice the huge spread for Thanksgiving. The huge, fancy, beautiful spread. And when we all walked into the dining room to be seated I looked around and his ENTIRE family was dressed up. DRESSED dressed. Dresses, heels, jewelry, major hair coif, suits, ties, cuff links. I mean super dressed up. The fanciest thing I had was jeans. My kids were in jammies. We ran and changed super quick, we figured jeans were a tad nicer than sweats? It was so embarassing. And this one lady looks and me and goes, "My, you look comfy!" Beeeyotch. I was embarrassed.
Mimi! YOU ARE THE WINNER!!!!
I will get your fall give-a-way in the mail before Friday! And I'm not going to post a pic of it - so it will be a nice little surprise for you! :)

Mommy, I don't feel good! (cough!cough!)
I have been a TERRIBLE blogger lately!
So....I made it through fair. Just starting to re-coop and Coby gets sick!
REALLY?
When Coby got up Friday morning, he had a low grade fever and had coughed his head off all night long.
I took him to the dr. on Friday afternoon (of course his dr is out, so we have to see the OTHER dr.) She prescribed him zithromax, nasacort, allegra and albuteral (breathing treatments.) The dr. never stated WHAT it is he has - she was just very concerned about how he was having trouble breathing.
Cory and I were up with him ALL night Friday night! Between coughing, throwing up, and the 102 temp, I didn't want to leave his side. I think we both got maybe 4 hours of sleep - we kept "taking shifts." I am EXTREMELY thankful that Cory is so good about dealing with sickness, etc.
Anyway, EVERY time we gave him the zithromax he threw it up! Within seconds of taking it.
Finally Saturday evening I called the nurses line and had them page the dr. on call. The nurse called back and the dr. called in a prescription for him of amoxicillin and a cough syrup with codeine in it.
So, now (Monday) he's really only been on antibiotics for 24 hours. Fever comes and goes (with Tylenol.) When we woke up this morning he was BURNING up. So, here I am home with him. However, we've gotten more Tylenol down, more antibiotics down and hoping things are starting to look up. The sun is shining outside and I would LOVE to take him out there to play. But it is SO windy! Afraid it wouldn't be good for him in the long run.
I hope to return to bloggy land soon. I have a fall give-a-way I need to finish up (shuttie Brandy!) And pumpkin patch pics (because yes, I did take him while he was sick-but I THOUGHT he was feeling better.)
Have a good Monday!

Wordful Wednesday (Because I ALWAYS have words!)
This is Hunter and his car he entered in the fair this year!
He is so good with these model cars - he alwasy does a great job and it takes him NO TIME at all! Hunter won FIRST place! I love it when he wins - it makes him feel so good.
Here he is looking at it for the first time and seeing that he won.
OMG! Look what i got in the mail today!!!! This is from my friend Tanielle! A thank you gift, becasue I sent her a little gift! Silly girl! But i ABSOLUTELY love it - it's adorable. You can't see it very much in this picture but around the edges and the back of it is camo! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You are soo sweet! I have the PERFECT shelf to sit this on in my bedroom!
This is something I found at the fair! I think it is so cool! A "welcome" sign with deer antlers! How much more perfect could it be? I haven't decided exactly what to do with it just yet. I'm thinking I may make a wreath and put this on it to hang on the front door?
Hope everyone has a GREAT Wednesday!!!!

Um....yeah....I was laying on one of their box's that had his name on it!
WOW!!!! Does it get much better than this! :)
I was standing THIS close to Keith's guitar!!! I really wanted to touch it - but I refrained myself!

Disney on Ice was AWESOME!
Day4-Amish Stalking has succeeded!!!
So Suzie and I came up with a game plan and did WONDERFUL-GUT on our Amish stalking today! See we "sneaked" (don't think that is a word) a picture of me WITH the Amish girls working at the fair!!! See their little prayer kapps? Jah? LOL! So funny!!!
The fair has been fun for the most part-but really starting to miss my family. Cory is going to bring Coby up here today so we can take him to Disney on Ice! I think he will love it!!! I can't wait to spend some time with him, other than just a kiss good night or a kiss good-bye in the morning! :( one more week.....one more week.....one more week....

Another Day at the Fair
Here is Suzie and I with Emerson Drive! They put on a great show last night! And were so good with the fans! They autographed for EVERYONE, and took pics! GREAT GROUP OF GUYS!!!
They wanted us to tour with them and be "their girls" but we told them we have family here that we have to take care of! They were very upset and cried a little but seemed to understand! LOL!!! I'm HILARIOUS!!!!!

FAIR TIME.....
Hang on to your hat folks.....it is time for the Tulsa State Fair and we are FLYING HIGH this year!!!
Well, I (once again) entered a scrapbook page in the competetive arts/scrapbook area. Only this year - I got 3rd place!!! I am so excited about this!
And for those of you who don't know......each year (since we spend SO many hours out here) we come up with words that are only appropriate to use during the fair! There are some REALLY great ones!
So you need to head over and check out Suzie, because she is in charge of keeping everyone posted on our fair words!
