First Ever-Friend Makin Monday

I will be joining Amber for the first time ever on her "Friend Makin Monday!" So after you read mine, go click on her's and join in the fun.......
1. Do you cook every night? Most every night. If not - that mean's it's left over night!
2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why? Well, for the past couple of months I have been MAKING my own laundry detergent! Yep, found a blog from a lady who makes it, so that's what I've been doing. It's SUPER DUPER cheap, but I really miss the smell of "tide" and/or "gain", so I might revert back to them.
3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time? I usually try to do a couple loads a day, so it doesn't all pile up on me.
4. How often do you eat out per week? If I'm lucky - once on the weekend. It's not very cheap eating out with a family of 5.
5. Where do you usually eat out? Hmmm....95% of the time it's Mexican, which that could be On The Border, of El Tequila, etc.
6. What is your favorite retail store? Wal-Mart!
7. What's your favorite thing to drink? Dr. Pepper, all the way, baby!!! I try to be good sometimes and drink Diet Dr. Pepper, or water.....but they just don't compare!
8. Do you take vitamins? No, but I make sure the kiddos take theirs
9. What percentage of the household chores to you do?Do your children do chores? {Or will they, did they, etc} 100% LOL! Just kidding! I probably do 75% Cory does a lot to help out. Dylan and Hunter take turns with "dish week."
11. Do you go to church? Not as much as I should. Trying to find one closer to home, so we CAN go more often.
12. Do you have a housework schedule? Um, big fat NO!
13. Do you keep a working budget? Um, no! Probably should, but so far things have worked out really well.
14. What do you do at night as a family? We always set down at the dinner table and eat together! Even if someone isn't "eating" I make them set at the table, that is our only time together all day!
15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week? Ugh! I'm not sure! I try to get as much housework done on Sunday as possible, so I don't have to worry about it. And I USUALLY bake something specials like cookies or brownies on Sunday night.
16. What do your mornings look like? Busy, beginnin at 4:50 am and out the door by 6:40 am!
17. What time do you get up in the mornings? 4:50am
8. What time do you go to bed at night?Usually by 10:00
19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? {bills, school work, magazines, ads, etc}Not very well! We do have a filing cabinet, but a lot of it also gets piled up on the kitchen cabinet too! I wish I knew a better way!
20. How do you keep your household organized? {calendars, charts, etc} Who said I was organized? LOL! Just kidding! I try to stay on top of everything! Keep boy scouts, school calendars, etc handy at all times. If things are organized just right, I get readdy cranky!

I Wanna Kiss A Girl.......

It amazes me how one little 3 year old can bring tears to your eyes.
As we were driving to daycare this morning the Keith Urban song "I wanna kiss a girl" was playing. And this is our conversation:
Me : Coby, do you wanna kiss a girl?
Coby: Your my girl, mommy! And I wanna kiss you!
Awww......

And I KNOW I'm his mommy-but don't those blue eyes just make you melt?

My boys.....

This past Saturday we helped some friends of ours move out to "the farm." Yeah, the farm is WAY out there! HOWEVER there is LOT's of land around and not many nieghbors! My kind of living....Anyhow - this is a picture of Coby playing on their tractor! Too stinking cute!

Then Hunter.....on the phone.....with Morgan! Let me enlighten you a little bit here....Hunter is in the 6th grade.....Morgan is his FIRST girlfriend! I know MORE about Morgan right now than I EVER wanted to know! Does he talk to me about school? No - he talks about Morgan. Does he talk to me about his friends? No - he talks about Morgan. When I ask him to clean his room - somehow MORGAN's name comes in the conversation! REALLY!?!?!? I thought only girls were "boy crazy!" Did NOT know boys got "girl crazy!"

Really? Are you Kidding Me?

So - I get home yesterday and ANOTHER DOG is at our house! NO JOKE!
We just gave that little funny looking dog to our neighbor on Saturday. The other dog that just "showed up" at our house, you know?
So We have less than 48 hours with our one and only dog! Now we are harboring 2 black labs, one female and one male!REALLY?!?!?!
What are we going to do!?!?!? Does our yard look like it should be a dog kennel? (Lord, I hope not!) We are thinking....there is a little bridge close to our house and for some reason, people have just dumped dogs there? Kinda sad, huh?
And we can't feed one dog and NOT the other? Right? That is just cruel!
So - at this point...I guess we are the owners of 2 black labs!!!



By the way - if this little guy belongs to you....just let me know so I can get him safely home to you! :) (Can't blame a girl for trying!)

Boys Will Be Boys

Boys will be boys - and peeing outside or ANYWHERE for that matter is part of it, right?! I've been trying for WEEKS to get a picture of little man "going" outside! It cracks me up - that he pulls his undies all the way down to his ankles, and his stance....is just really funny to me! At least he has the luxury of going potty WHEREVER he wants, huh? Right, Mimi?
I know he's going to hate me for this one day!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR 2009!

No, Coby did not start school today (thank god!) I don't think I would have been able to bear that burden today.

But he was looking TOO cute to NOT take his picture! Right?

Hunter - starting middle school! In his "rock on" mode! My heart is breaking for him right now, starting middle school, AND in a new town. He doesn't know ANY of the kids! I wish I could follow him around all day and help him out. However - I'm sure he WOULD NOT want me to do that! In fact when I was dropping him off this morning he said "no hugs at school, ok mom?" That's when I started tearing up!

Here is my big freshman! I can not believe that I have one in High School this year. It seems like I was in high school like 5 years ago. Anyway - I'm very proud of him and pray that he makes all the right decisions! High school years are SO hard!

And yes, mom was taking it VERY hard after dropping them off. It just shows me how much they are BOTH growing up!

Wordless Wednesday....

I know it's Wordless Wednesday, but I'm sorry...I ALWAYS have words..... This is just a SMALL section of the lake this past weekend. There were a couple people there......LOL!

Cory! Gotta love him!!! It looks like he's drowning his ducky! Yes, he still likes to swim with the ducky!

Me - in the boat!!! Do NOT ask me what I was doing, because I have NO clue! Notice Cory's "ducky" on the front of the boat! God, love him!

And the ONE pic we took together on the weekend, he couldn't even smile! :)

So, we have a new friend...

Saturday morning as Cory and I got ready to leave for the lake, we noticed Sadie (the black dog) standing in front of her house, then noticed this little dog HIDING inside Sadie's house. It's like she has a new roommate she is hiding from us.

Cory told Said "you better make sure your friend is gone by the time we get back home!"

Got home from the lake on Sunday, guess what!??!? Sadie's little friend is STILL there. This dog is small enough she can climb through the square panels to get inside Sadie's pen!

So what now?! Do we keep her? Do we let her stay? They OBVIOUSLY get along really well.

Coby has already decided he wants to name her Zoe!

We do NOT need another dog!!!!!

Keith Urban update.....

Update on our Keith Urban concert..This is when Sugarland joined Keith on the stage to sing "Your the reason God made Oklahoma." They did an AWESOME job!

Keith got soooo close to us - it was awesome! During the show he got off the stage (with security of course) and walked to the OTHER end of the floor and got up on this small stage and said "who's go the best seats in the house now?" He stood on that small stage and sang a few songs - it was WONDERFUL! We KNOW he looked DIRECTLY at us (Riann and I) and winked at us!!! LOL! (Shhh....let us dream - don't tell us otherwise!) LOL! Then he walked back to the main stage with all the women grabbing him, etc.!

Sugarland....Isn't Jennifer cute? Christian on the other hand....let me put it this way.....he was wearing blue and green plaid pants! I couldn't see past that!

Riann and I - had to stop and take a picture with Keith! Wasn't that just the sweetest thing? So, he decided to play a song for us. He asked us if we could go on the road with him - but we had to break the news to him that it just was NOT possible! LOL! I CRACK ME UP!!!! I'm SOOOO funny!

Yea!!! This is who I am going to see tonight!!! Sugarland AND...........KEITH URBAN......
Tonight is GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!!! We are going to the concert for my friend, Riann's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RIANN!!!
We have had this planned for a couple months - and the time has FINALLY come..........
I'm SUPER excited - I can not wait!!!
So - hopefully Monday I will be able to post some really awesome pictures for you!
