Ok, the past few days I've been DRAGGING! And I keep saying WHY?! Let me just give you a sample run down of my day yesterday....and YOU let me know what I can 'cut out' of my schedule or change, to save time.....or energy.....
I set my alarm for 4:45am, was going to get up and ride my exercise bike, but I snoozed it until 5:20am! So LAZY.....
5:20am - up and at 'em! Shower, get the kids up and ready to go.
6:40am - leave the house and head to drop the kids off at daycare.
7:15am - give the hugs and kisses at daycare and head out.
7:20am - run by the post office and check the mail.
7:40am - run in walmart and grab a few things for the house.
7:55am - arrive at work.
8:15am - leave work to do a work errand.
9:30am - arrive back at work.
12:30 - take a late lunch, go tan and run to do a personal errand.
1:40pm - arrive back at work
4:50pm - leave work
5:20pm - arrive at Coby's swim lessons, get him changed, encouraged, etc.
6:35pm - leave swim lessons and head home
7:00pm - stop at Dollar General on the way home and buy a disposable camera, because the
middle child INSISTS he needs one for the last day of school, tomorrow!
7:10pm - arrive home
7:20pm - start cooking dinner
7:40pm - as dinner is cooking, throw in a load of the kids jeans to wash. (Keep in mind I haven't
had a dryer in 6 days now, so everything has to be hung to dry.) FYI: new lessons:
Jeans do NOT dry fast on their own! I tried laying them under the ceiling fan all
night, using the hair dryer on them. WOW! I won't be trying THOSE neat tricks again,
anytime soon.
7:50pm - sit down with the family and have a QUICK, yes i do mean QUICK dinner!
8:00pm - make sure the middle child is in bed, and start the little one's bath.
8:10pm - finished with bath, onto getting dressed. (This is usually daddy's part in the routine,
however, daddy was outside still working on some thing.)
8:20pm - read a book to my little man, before bedtime.
8:30pm - put him in bed.
9:00pm - tiddy up the kitchen a little from dinner dishes. I was too tired for the "full blown"
CLEAN the kitchen thing.
9:10pm - make sure the oldest is getting ready for bed as well, he DOES have to get up early.
9:20pm - take a quick shower
9:40pm- watch what i can of the news.
10:00pm - lay in bed and TALK (yes TALK) because we've both been running like crazy
all day and haven't been able to talk about our day at all.
11:00pm - look at the clock and count how many hours i NOW have to sleep.....if I go to sleep
RIGHT now, I will get 5 hour and 45 minutes! WHHHOOOOHHHOOO!

Yea! The difference a day can make!
Look at this....Coby SWIMMING underwater!
Teacher helping him float.....
Pretty happy with himself.......
I am SO proud of him....
Now - to all my mommy friends out there "considering" putting their toddler in swim lessons. I HIGHLY recommend it! The first night one of the instructors came in and talked to the parents as all the kiddo's were swimming. She informed us there would be nights that our children would say "i don't want to go to swim lessons tonight." But to keep encouraging them, about how their teacher (and use their teacher by name)would miss them and talk about how GREAT they are doing and how far they've came, etc. Really pump it up for them! Well, it seemed to do the trick for Coby.
We are a water family. Swimming all summer, in the pool, at the lake. It is very important to me that Coby knows how to swim.
I'm so excited and already looking into continued swim lessons. You can never teach them TOO much!

Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming.......
Well, Tuesday was Coby's very 1st swim lesson. He cried for 45 minutes! I am NOT kidding! Cory and I kept thinking "he has to stop crying soon and start playing in the water." NOPE! He didn't! Cried and cried and cried some more. So when we got home Tuesday night, we decided to "practice" what they learned in swim lessons in the bathtub. Yes, we did!
Before we left the swim school, we went ahead and bought Coby a pair of swim goggles, thinking that might help him with putting his face in the water, etc.
In the bathtub he did AWESOME! Of course the kicking was perfect! But he put the goggles on, and blew bubbles in the water, he did EVERYTHING the other kids did at swim lesson, that he chose NOT to participate in.
So, Wednesday night with LOT'S of encouragement from Cory and I, we went BACK to swim lessons. Coby did not cry when i had to leave to go to the parent observation room. He got in the water with all the other kids. He did exactly what his teacher told him to do. He kicked, he blew bubbles, he swam with his teacher, he even went COMPLETELY underwater, head and all (of course with his goggles.) He was a TOTALLY different child! I was SO proud of him! And yes, it did bring tears to my eyes.
More pictures to come soon of the NEW Coby at swim lessons.........

Smore, Smore! We want Smore fishing!
This was a FIRST of S'mores for some of my family! No kidding! Cory had never had Smores before, and of course it was a first for Coby, as well. My dad and Dylan enjoyed just eating the marshmallows. Hunter, would "cook" them for us, but he wouldn't eat any. I liked it all! YUM!
My dorky son, with his "headlights." (He will kill me when he see's this!)
Hunter enjoying a boat ride up the river. Ready to get some more fishing in, before going home.
Check out Coby getting that trout in the boat! He enjoyed fishing this year even MORE than last year! And it was SO cute. You could see the look of surprise on his face when he would feel something on the line. And just watching him reel, reel, reel! I bet daddy will be having Coby take them off the hook next time! LOL! Just kidding.
We had a great family trip. But it's good to be back home too.

Trying out the Random Thoughts Tuesday
I think I'm going to give this "Random Thoughts Tuesday" a try. Where shall I start?
* We are going trout fishing this weekend and I can NOT wait! I'm so excited. Ready to fish, relax, sleep outdoors. Ahhhhh
*Can't wait to see my Riann NEXT weekend and do a little scrapping, and eating, and some more scrapping.
*I'm excited about Coby starting swim lessons next week. I hope he is a little fish!
*I am SO ready to go trout fishing this weekend.
*I can't wait to get our swimming pool put up at home. That will be a blast! Maybe not so much the putting it up, but being able to swim.
*I can't believe school is almost over for the kids. This year has FLOWN by!
*I'm a little concerned about Dylan playing football next year. Not worried about him getting hurt. But worried about football interfering with Boy Scouts, and/or football interfering with keeping his grades up.
*Did I mention I'm ready to go trout fishing this weekend?
*I'm happy that Hunter and I have been getting along really well lately. I think he is starting to get that "mature" side of a tween. Sort of sad, but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Well, there is my stab at Random Thoughts Tuesday - please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Mommy, Momma, Mom, Mother.....
Yesterday was Mother's day! And i LOVED it! This year couldn't have been better! To start the weekend off, Dylan had flowers sent to me at work on Friday, with a poem he had written to me. Yes, I bawled! How many 14 year old boys even THINK to do that? Then later on Friday, I found out that Hunter had written an essay at daycare about why his mom should be "Mother of the Year." And for that, he won a gift basket for me, full of all sorts of goodies. And Coby brought home a card that he made at daycare! (Those are the best.)
So yesterday, my parents, as well as Cory's parents came over to cook out for Mother's Day. It went great! I just love that our family's get along so well and we are able to get-together that way.
Above is a picture of our family with Cory's parents.
This is a picture of all the mom's. Cory's mom, Jessica (my neice), me, and my mom!

OH MY!
So, this is what our driveway looks like now......
Yes, Cory drove home in a new truck! No, we didn't win the lottery! I honestly don't know HOW it all happened! But, now we look as if we are trying to keep up with the Jones'! I promise you that is not the case! A bad fuel pump in one vehicle, and a transmission going out in the other vehicle FOR THE SECOND time, obviously causes you to do crazy crazy things!!!

New Car
Cory and I went car shopping on Saturday and this is what we came home with. I was trying REALLY hard not to get my hopes up. I didn't even drive it when the salesmen took on us a test drive. But Cory worked his magic "bargainning" powers and made it happen! There WERE a couple times we got up and put our coats on, ready to walk out the door. So, here it is!
