Coby's 1st Garden

So, yesterday as I was looking at blogs...I was checking out myitiwns! If you haven't visited them....you need to do so - momma joss does a GREAT job! Anyseed -she was telling about the itwins new garden! (It was a Sesame Street line. ) That she had started with her children! I thought what a GREAT idea! Coby would love this! So - I emailed Momma Joss to find out where she got them!
As soon as I got off work - Coby and I headed to our local Lowe's and picked up Cookie Monster watermelon mini garden, Abby Cadabby Pumpkin mini garden, and to top it off....they had Veggietales mini flower gardens! Well...we HAD to have Larry Boy flowers!!!
Coby was SO excited to go home and start his garden! He was BEGGING me to take his picture!

He didn't get as dirty as I expected....but just wait until we transplant them outside...

And they will sit in the window sill to get some sun! We will keep you posted!

Random Tuesday - here I go!

So....I havent' Random Tuesday'd in like a bazillion years!!!!

I have a teenager!!! Ever seen those t-shirts that say "as a mother of teenagers-I understand why some animals eat their young?" YES! That is me!!! Why do they have to have SO MUCH drama? One person really put it in perspective for me....they called it "jello brain!" EXACTLY!

So...even though I don't have a green thumb! I'm going to have a garden this year! Yep....Cory told me to make a list of what I want to grow in my garden because this will be "my baby!" OH YEA!!!

Coby fell over on his dirt bike yesterday! NOT while it was in motion, nor when I was there! How soon do you think Cory told me about it? WAY AFTER IT HAPPENED.......

So Dylan is in track......he's a sprinter! Dumb me.....I thought sprinting was like a fast-paced-leisurely-jog! WRONG AGAIN! I had this HAIR-BRAINED idea that Dylan and I could start running together! HA! He was EXTREMELY patient with his outta-shape momma Sunday night! We walked a little....jogged a little....got chased by a german shepard....ran into 3 matsif's that wanted to show us their teeth.....yeah....next time...we will be walking/jogging a different route! Dylan swears he's going to tie a dog bone to my butt so I will run faster! That's SUPER nice of him, huh?

I learned this week that Hunter can ride his bike SUPER DUPER fast......when being chased by the same German Shepard that chased me! It wasn't funny......but I was HURTING from laughing so much!

So I recently connected with my BFF from my growing up days! Sherri! OMG! I didn't realize how much I missed her! And the funny thing is....she still has the same mannerisms, actions, thoughts, etc! She makes me smile! :) Hi Shu-wee!

Well....it happened this weekend! Daddy got Coby his FIRST DIRT BIKE!
As you can see, though....I've started on my mission....we have the helmet, neck brace, chest protector... Gloves and knee pads (not pictured.)

Last night was our Sesame Street Live date-night! I Love seeing Coby watch intently!

My New Worry.....

Yeah.....so I've emphasized my worries previously about Coby being on the dirt bike with Cory, right? So...now my worries are being multiplied times 10!
Cory is heading out to look at 2 different dirt bikes today.......FOR COBY! MY BABY!!!!!
I know he is ALWAYS going to want his own....daddy has one...his 2 older brothers both have one.....but he is my baby, and that makes it WAY different! Is that wrong of me?! These are the 2 daddy is going to look at tonight. :(
Do you all feel my pain? Or am I just being a big weinie?

Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe - from a 15 year old!

So...being snowed in this past weekend, we all got a little bored. So I told Dylan he could make peanut butter cookies! Let me back-track a little bit: One of our neighbors is an elderly couple and they have REALLY taken Dylan under their wings! He LOVES hanging out with them and vice versa. He LOVES going over there and getting some of those "home-grown-meals....made from scratch!" (I know...sad, huh?) Anyway....last time he was there, they gave Dylan their peanut butter cookie recipe. Peanut Butter Cookies

2 cups peanut butter

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 tsps vanilla

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

Easy as that!!! And let me tell you...they were GOOD! In fact I told Dylan "they are good but you can't make them at home anymore." He asked why. "Because yo momma ate them all!"

First day of Spring....Snow?

This is Coby eating snow! And he sort of "froze" in this position, when I told him "don't eat yellow snow." Coby asked "why?" I said "because if it's yellow that means a doggie has pee'd on it!" He literally FROZE! It was SO funny!

My New Hair.......color!

So.....I branched out a little bit last night and went to get my hair highlighted for the FIRST TIME EVER!
Ok....so I'm a little slow getting on this ban-wagon!
But I excited about it
I don't think this picture says enough for it! But I now have caramel and blond highlights!

Planning a Surprise Party....

This is a picture of my mom in 1956! (I LOVE old pics!) And this is a pic from last year (left to right) Cory's mom- my neice - myself - my mom!ANYPARTY - My mom is turning 60 this year! And what kind of daughter would I be if I DIDN'T throw her a surprise birthday party?!
So my BFF- Sherri (who I grew up with) has said that she will help me plan the party, etc. YEA!!
I think we are going to go with a 50's and 60's rock and roll theme! If anyone out there in bloggy land has ANY ideas or suggestion.....please feel free to send them my way! I have 2 months to get this party thing going, but I'm trying to get a head start on it, so i won't stress me out.

How soon is too soon?

When you have one of these removed (yes you read that correctly...removed) from your collar bone, how soon should you start strenuous activity? This fancy thing was just REMOVED from Cory's collarbone approximately 10 days ago.....And he decided it was time to get back on his dirt bike!

Yep....there he is!

And how soon is TOO SOON to be letting your 4 year old enjoy being on the dirt bike with daddy? Well....I guess 4 probably isn't TOO soon....considering daddy was riding him around at about 2 years old! UGH!!! Yes.....

Wordful Wednesday! YEA!

So....this past Saturday night Coby had a couple friends stay the night.
I recently re-connected with my BFF from "growing up" days! Sherri and I were BFF's from probably 4 or 5 years old until 18 (at which point I thought I knew everything and left everyone else behind to be with a DUMB GUY!)
Anydumb.....Sherri's 2 children stayed the night with Coby Saturday night. They are 3 and 6 years old! They played HARD! I mean REALLY HARD! It was after 10pm when they all went to bed Saturday night and by 7:01am Sunday morning...I could hear the giggling starting up!
Sunday we went to church - then stopped at Burger King for the kiddos to play and have some lunch.
When we got home I told Coby he needed to go take a nap - which he STRONGLY argued!!!
A few minutes later, I walked in his room and this is what I found....... Oh yeah.....SOUND ASLEEP...........

Half standing up! Now that is TIRED!!!!

March is WINDY!

So....this past weekend....after Coby saw our neighbors flying a kite, he decided it was time to fly his! Luckily...he just got one for his birthday!
As you can see in this picture Coby and Daddy staring up in the sky... There it is! Coby's Buzz Lightyear kite!

They were doing a pretty good job, huh?

So...Hunter decided to go get his kite too! His is pretty big! It looks like a big NASA spaceship!

It was so cool looking! And I was so proud that he was able to fly it! (I know...dorky mom!)
