Surprise 40th paty

So - I was VERY brave and threw a surprise 40th bday party for my husband! I will NEVER do this again!! It was SOOO hard keeping it a secret!That was the hardest party of it all!!!

I ordered cupcake-cakes and thought they turned out AWESOME!!! I went with the theme "Old Guy Rule."

On our way to Disney World - we stopped at the beach! We went ALL the way to Florida - so we HAD to go see a beach, right?!

We Just Got Back from Disney World!

We just got back from Disney World! It was AWESOME! This was my first trip there and I loved EVERY minute of it!!

Coby and a storm trooper! We were able to go on STAR WARS weekend! Coby is a STAR WARS fanatic - so he was in HEAVEN!!!
It was the best vacation by far!!!

Mother's Day quilt

Finally!! The BIG mother's day project is complete!!! It only took me a couple months and it was fun! I hope my mom LOVES it!!! It DOES have it's flaws, but I'm not perfect!!

Now....to go finish the little projects! Shheezz!!

Another Riding Weekend (Not a bad thing!)

 Busy weekend again. And we went to an AWESOME dirt bike track on Saturday! Silly me - this is the ONLY pic I got of Coby!  Thank goodness we haven't let him take his dirt bike to a track yet - it just makes me TOO nervous!

 Hunter, however, WANTED to take his dirt bike! He did pretty good! No crashes - that's always a plus!

 Should I be concerned that my husband STILL does this? I mean really? Can you see him, up in those trees? He makes me a nervous wreck!

Yep.....he's still got it! Just needs to not jump SO high! I mean come on...it HAS to be just as fun with both tires on the ground! Right?!

Running? Runner? To Run? Or Not To Run?

I've been running - does that make me a runner? Really? Let me explain: I did the "couch to 5k" last spring...and enjoyed it, and then once I hit week 8, I sort of fell off that ban waggon.
Then, this past January - I decided I wanted to be a runner again. I felt so much more energized, and just generally felt better, when I ran. So - we went on the treadmill hunt and got one. When the weather is nice enough and I am able too (depending on kids) I run outside, otherwise I run in the house on the treadmill. I started back on the "couch to 5k" now called "ease into 5k." Now I am on week 7! Yes, I said 7! I've been STUCK on week 7 for about 2 months! I run 3 days a week and zumba once a week. I Don't understand what the big hurrdle is to run ONE more minute....or another 1/4 of a mile! I don't get it!
So - does this make me a runner? Or just a wanna-be-runner?
I COULD finish a 5k right now - even though I would hate most of it - I could do it! But, why can't I seem to give myself that little PUSH that I need?

More lamp projects!

Hunter wanted a new lamp for his newly painted room, so BACK to Target! (Because they were buy 1 get 1 50% off.) I made this one for a friend's daughter who just HAPPENS to have a birthday this week and LOVES horses and cowgirls :)
And Hunter's FINAL product! He was very happy with it! Yea! They are SO fun and easy to make!

Quilt Progress

Haven't gotten very far - but this is where I'm at now. See the BIG "black" patch in the middle? That was a BIG no-no! So, I have NOW ripped that out and "fixed" it. Next....sewing the border! Updates soon! Let's see I have about 8 weeks to finish it. OMG! That's NOT very far away!

The Quilt for my mom!

Shhhhh, this is a secret project. But it's ok - my mom doesn't read my blog!

Anyway-I've only made ONE quilt, but decided I wanted to make one for my mom, and one for each of my 3 boys! Well, I am starting first on mom's, hoping I can have it completed by mother's day.

I went fabric shopping yesterday and just LOVE the colors I found! Went home last night and got it all cut out! I WANTED to start sewing tonight, but, it's Biggest Loser night, so I'm sure between dinner and watching my show I probably won't have time. Tomorrow night is zumba night, so I'm hoping for Thursday night! Geez! I need to NOT be so busy!

Project Lamp!

Well, I've been on the hunt for a Star Wars lamp! Coby LOVES Star Wars. But EVERY one I found (all online) were $59.99 AND UP! So.... I decided to settle this MYSELF! I went to Target and bought this lamp - on sale this week for $14.99, thank you very much!Went to Joann's and bought some Star Wars Fabric, broke out my Modge Podge and WAH LAH!!!

This project took me MAYBE 30 minutes and made one little boy in my house VERY happy!!!

Birthday Month

I've been a bad bad blogger! (Hm...that's what I said 2 months ago, too!) I am REALLy going to try to be better! REALLY!!!!!

Coby will be 6 next week! 6! I can't believe it - I do NOT like my baby growing up!

He got glasses this past week. Some paperwork came home from school, he failed his vision screening. So I made him an eye dr. appt, and sure enough, he did the same thing there. His right eye is a little far sighted, but his left eye is VERY far sighted! We are hoping glasses for a few months can correct this, hopefully he won't have to wear them forever.

And this is one of the photo's I had taken of him a couple weeks ago. I hope to have the entire CD soon! I AM BACK bloggy world.....and I'm here to stay!!!!

Our Elf On A Shelf- Meet Leo!

Meet Leo! We welcomed him into our home on December 5th, 2011! He is a SILLY little elf.

It looks like he was playing Monster truck with "grandma, who got run over by a reindeer."One night, he got Coby's underwear and hung them on the stocking. Hehe! (Coby was embarrased!)
Leo found Coby's comfy pillow pet and helped himself to get a book to read for the day.

Halloween 2011

Saturday night Cory and I took Coby to Hallozooween! It was CRAZY! Lot's of people, long lines, etc. But THIS made Coby's WHOLE night......Seeing a "real life size" Darth Vader and ObiWonKanobi! We are SOO into star wars right now it's not even FUNNY!

And Coby and daddy carved a pumpkin this year! Coby is LOVING it - every evening he can't WAIT to light the candle in the pumpkin!

Long time, no blog...I know! I know!!

But luckily, I did get a chance to do a review for easy canvas prints! I am VERY happy with how the canvas turned out !

Of course, since we just got married I was DYING to have a wedding pic put on canvas!

Please excuse the no so great picture quality (that is only due to my camera) - but I assure you the canvas is TOP quality! I tried to take a few different angle views so you could get the full effect.
